Gebr. Pfeiffer Mining has inaugurated a new manufacturing site in Talegaon, Pune, Maharashtra. The facility was completed in one year and is designed to supplement the company’s German production operations while expanding its manufacturing capabilities in the country.

Gebr. Pfeiffer has supplied vertical roller mills and advanced grinding technology to major cement producers in India, including UltraTech Cement and Shree Cement. The new site will enhance its ability to serve local customers and improve operational efficiency.

Gebr. Pfeiffer, headquartered in Germany, has more than 160 years of experience in technologies for grinding, classifying, drying, slaking, and calcining. Its portfolio includes dry grinding technologies aimed at reducing energy and water use, along with digital tools such as GPlink, GPpro, and GPAI for monitoring, predictive maintenance, and operational optimisation.

Gebr. Pfeiffer’s manufacturing operations in India focus on supplying advanced grinding technology and equipment for the cement industry. Its subsidiary, Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd., works in close coordination with the company’s German headquarters to deliver and service vertical roller mills and grinding plants.

The Indian operations involve manufacturing and supplying core components such as foundation parts, housings, classifiers, and plant components, while precision elements including gearboxes, grinding bowls, roller arms, and grinding rollers are sourced from Europe. In addition to production, the subsidiary provides plant layout support, procurement, and quality control for grinding plants.

The company also offers erection, commissioning, and customer support services, with a dedicated Customer Support Centre in Noida to provide real-time assistance. Among the equipment supplied to the Indian market are specialised vertical roller mills such as the MVR 5000 R-4 and MPS 3550 BK, which incorporate features like high-efficiency classifiers and the MultiDrive system.

Gebr. Pfeiffer has supported large-scale grinding projects for cement producers including UltraTech Cement and JSW Cement, reflecting its contribution to India’s cement production capacity. The company also collaborates with local engineering suppliers, such as GTV Engineering Limited, for the manufacture of industrial parts.

Alongside these efforts, the subsidiary focuses on efficiency, sustainability, and digital solutions, offering predictive maintenance and condition monitoring systems adapted to local requirements. This integration of local manufacturing with global engineering expertise enables Gebr. Pfeiffer to meet Indian market demand while maintaining its international standards.
