Alligator Automations has inaugurated a new manufacturing unit in Pune with an investment of INR 400 million. The company said the expansion is expected to increase its overall production capacity threefold and support its plans to supply automation systems to international markets.

According to a press release issued by Alligator Automations, the unit has an annual production capability of INR 5–6 billion and will facilitate the engineering, assembly, testing, and dispatch of turnkey projects from India.

The plant includes fabrication lines, a powder-coating facility, automated storage systems capable of holding more than 100 tons of inventory, and a 100,000 square foot assembly area. It is equipped with six loading bays, five 7.5-ton cranes, and a digital workflow designed to enable 15–20 large projects to run simultaneously, including turnkey lines up to 80 metres.

By consolidating fabrication, coating, quality checks, stores, and assembly in one location, the company expects delivery timelines to shorten by nearly 20 percent and production accuracy to improve. The facility is also projected to increase exports by 30 percent and generate more than 400 jobs in India and 100 overseas during the next three years.

The company stated that the facility is intended to reduce dependence on imported robotic systems and strengthen India’s participation in global automation supply chains.

“We are committed to replacing imports, strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem, and delivering complex automation solutions that compete with the best in the world. With this expansion, we are not only enhancing our capacity but also reinforcing our belief that Indian engineering can lead on the global stage,” said Srinivas Choudhary, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alligator Automations.

Alligator Automations, founded in 2008 by Srinivas Choudhary and Krunal Kantale, provides end-of-line packaging and robotic automation systems and is headquartered in Pune.
