Tex Year Group, a Taiwan based hot melt adhesive manufacturer, has commenced mass production at its second manufacturing facility in India, located in the Mahad Industrial Area in Maharashtra. The new unit, Tex Year Technologies India Private Limited, expands the company’s production capacity in the country and supports its long-term regional growth plans.
The Mahad facility includes three production lines in its first phase, increasing annual adhesive output in India from 3,400 tons to 10,000 tons. The company stated that the expanded capacity will help address rising demand in India as well as neighbouring markets.
Tex Year entered India in 2013 as the first Taiwan-listed hot melt adhesive manufacturer to establish localised production. The company said it integrates Taiwanese research and development capabilities with Indian manufacturing operations to supply application-specific adhesive products while maintaining an end-to-end supply chain that includes production, sourcing, and marketing.
The company noted that its product offerings in India include hot melt, polyurethane reactive (PUR), and water-based adhesives supplied to sectors such as packaging, hygiene, home furnishings, mattresses, white goods, automotive interiors, electric vehicles, and electronics. It added that its low-odour, water-based adhesives for mattresses have seen growing acceptance in the local market, while its hot melt range supports varied industrial applications.
Tex Year stated that initial trial runs at the Mahad plant focused on optimising formulations and improving production flexibility. The company said these steps are intended to shorten delivery cycles and support customers requiring environmentally oriented adhesive solutions.
Looking ahead, Tex Year said its “Greater India Strategy,” built on deployment, expansion, and operational synergies, will position India as a central hub for South Asia and nearby emerging markets. The company expects the Mahad facility to contribute to advancements in green material manufacturing for customers in India and other regions.
