Legrand, a manufacturer of products and systems for electrical installations and digital building infrastructure, is expanding manufacturing operations at the Sinnar unit near Nashik, Maharashtra. The project is aimed at strengthening the company’s production and research capabilities in the region.

Group Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of Legrand, Antoine Burel, recently visited India to assess the company’s local operations. His visit included inspections of the upcoming Nashik plant, the existing Sinnar manufacturing facility, and the Thane research and development centre. He was accompanied by Deepak Patil, Chief Operating Officer of Legrand India Group.

The Nashik plant is being developed to serve as both an innovation and production centre. Along with the Thane R&D Centre, it is expected to support technology development and the adaptation of Legrand’s global solutions for local markets. The company stated that both the Sinnar and Nashik plants cater to domestic as well as export demand.
