Elemental Econrg India Private Limited, a company formed through the merger of Elemental EMEA Global Trade Center DMCC and Econrg Systech Private Limited, has launched a catalytic converter recycling facility in India.
The plant is set to process 130 tons of used automotive catalytic converters in 2025, with plans to expand capacity in the coming years.
According to Tomasz Gontarczyk, Managing Director at Elemental Asia, the company in India will primarily focus on collecting and processing used catalysts. The initiative aims to optimize the supply chain and enhance customer service within the market. Additionally, sales representatives have been deployed to build and maintain relationships with clients.
The company states that its waste disposal procedures align with European environmental standards. Elemental Econrg India Private Limited’s expansion into India is part of a broader strategy to optimize raw material sourcing and strengthen its market presence.
