Hazoor Multi Projects Limited (HMPL) has proposed a 500-megawatt solar project in Andhra Pradesh with an estimated investment of Rs 2,500 crore. The company has submitted its proposal to the state government for setting up the project in Prakasam district over an area of 2,000 acres.

According to a communication from the Andhra Pradesh government, the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation (NREDCAP) will facilitate the execution of the proposed solar park. The government has also requested HMPL to submit a detailed project report (DPR) for further assessment.

HMPL operates in the renewable energy sector and undertakes road construction projects on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. Recently, the company announced plans to develop 1.2 gigawatts of renewable energy projects across 4,200 acres in Maharashtra.
