Keltron, a state-run electronics manufacturer, has received a contract to design and produce 336 low-frequency ultrasonic transducer elements for the Vietnamese Navy. The contract was awarded through Mumbai-based Neo Power, according to Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev.

Keltron has been actively involved in defense manufacturing, securing various contracts in the sector. In October 2024, the company received orders from the Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) for the production of flight-in-air mechanism modules, and from Bharat Dynamics Ltd for torpedo power amplifiers designed by the Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL). Additionally, Keltron partnered with Rekise Marine Pvt Ltd, a startup selected by the Indian Navy to build an autonomous underwater vessel, for the manufacture of bow and flank arrays.
