Belgium-based telecommunications company Proximus plans to set up a global capability centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, according to company chairman Stefaan De Clerck. The company has appointed a CEO to lead the new centre and is in the process of assembling a team comprising both young and experienced professionals.
In 2024, Proximus collaborated with Infosys to standardize its existing processes on the ServiceNow platform and transform its customer service management operations.
Proximus also acquired a 57.56% stake in Indian communication platform as a service (CPaaS) company Route Mobile for approximately ₹5,924 crore. Route Mobile aims to double its revenue to around $1 billion over the next three to four years, up from the current $500 million, according to CEO Gautam Badalia.
The establishment of the GCC in Bengaluru is expected to support Proximus’ global operations, particularly in areas such as digital transformation, cloud solutions, and network security, aligning with the company’s ongoing expansion and technological initiatives.
