Paras Defence and Space Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with MicroCon Vision, a subsidiary of CONTROP and a member of Rafael Group, Israel. The agreement establishes an exclusive collaboration for the development, integration, and deployment of Micro ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) payloads in India.
According to the company, the partnership aims to enhance ISR capabilities for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones used in defence and security applications. The collaboration will focus on incorporating Micro ISR payloads with advanced electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) technologies to improve intelligence gathering, situational awareness, and surveillance capabilities.
Paras Defence and MicroCon Vision will work together to develop and manufacture these payloads within India. The companies state that the agreement aligns with efforts to increase indigenous defence production while integrating global technology expertise.
ISR payloads are sensor-based systems designed for real-time intelligence collection and surveillance. The deployment of such technologies is expected to support reconnaissance and security operations. The press release did not specify a timeline for the rollout of the first payloads.
