Batliboi Ltd, a diversified engineering company, is planning to double its machine tool production capacity from 25 machines per month to 50 machines over the next two years. The company expects this expansion to contribute approximately INR 800 million in additional revenue after the capacity installation.

The company is also planning to upgrade its foundry capacity from 90 tonnes per month to 200 tonnes per month, supported by a capital expenditure of INR 200 million. The foundry upgrade will include energy-efficient equipment and an electric furnace, which is expected to reduce power consumption by around 30 percent and support increasing internal demand.

The company is also entering the green hydrogen sector as part of its sustainability initiatives. Batliboi is exploring opportunities in on-site hydrogen generation and providing engineering support services for both green and grey hydrogen applications. According to the company, the green hydrogen market in India is estimated to present an investment opportunity of INR 8 trillion, with the potential to avert 50 million metric tonnes of CO2 emissions by 2030.

In the textile engineering business, Batliboi plans to invest INR 50 million to increase production capacity with advanced equipment, aiming to improve product quality and expand into new industries and export markets.

Batliboi operates manufacturing facilities in Surat, India, and through its subsidiary Quickmill in Peterborough, Canada. Its product portfolio includes gantry drilling and milling machines, CNC and conventional machines, metal cutting and forming equipment, workshop machine packages, humidification systems, waste collection systems, air pollution control equipment, industrial fans, and hydrogen gas solutions. The company also manufactures equipment for the textile machinery and air engineering sectors and has expanded into effluent and water treatment through its newly formed subsidiary Bioconserve Renewables Envirotech Pvt Ltd.
