Hi-Tech Pipes Limited, a manufacturer of a range of steel products, is in the advanced stage of commissioning two production facilities: a greenfield plant at Sikandrabad in Uttar Pradesh and a brownfield expansion of its Sanand Unit-II Phase II in Gujarat. Both facilities are designed to manufacture high-end specialized tubes and pipes for domestic and international markets.
The Sikandrabad facility is part of the company’s plan to achieve one million tonnes of annual production capacity by FY26. It is equipped to produce ERW steel pipes, including specialized products for the infrastructure, defence, and renewable energy sectors.
The Sanand Unit-II Phase II expansion aims to increase output of high-end specialized tubes and pipes for the infrastructure and energy sectors. This brownfield project leverages existing infrastructure already supporting solar tracker pipe production for international manufacturers.
In addition, Hi-Tech Pipes has commissioned a hot-dip galvanizing plant at its Hindupur facility in Andhra Pradesh. The unit is intended to meet increasing demand for corrosion-resistant steel pipes.
The company’s existing plant in Makhiyav, Gujarat, has emerged as a key export unit for solar torque tubes, which are used in solar tracking systems. This plant supplies to markets in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
As part of its new product initiatives, the company has introduced several offerings tailored to infrastructure and industrial applications. These include fire-fighting system pipes ranging in size from 25 mm to 150 mm NB, comprising “C” Class mild steel pipes and galvanized pipes with plain ends or sockets.
At its Hindupur plant, it has commenced production of 300×200 large diameter galvanized plain (GP) pipes, as well as cold rolled formed high (CRFH) pipes aimed at the furniture and high-end segments. Additionally, the company has launched 250×250 hollow section pipes at its Sanand facility in Gujarat.
Hi-Tech Pipes Limited operates six manufacturing plants across four Indian states and has a production capacity of 750,000 metric tonnes per annum as of FY25. The company manufactures a range of steel products including ERW pipes, hollow sections, galvanized pipes, and cold rolled coils. Its operations serve infrastructure, construction, agriculture, and renewable energy sectors in both domestic and international markets.
