Setco Automotive, a manufacturer of truck components, has expanded its product portfolio and achieved significant improvements in quality metrics, according to information provided by the company. The company has introduced new products, including clutch release bearings (CRB) and central support bearings (CSB), and reported its best-ever rejection rates, now below 5 percent.

Setco’s subsidiary, Lava Cast, recorded its highest quarterly and yearly tonnage since 2019. Lava Cast also reported its lowest rejection rates, achieving less than 5 percent through enhanced quality checks and advanced production processes.

The company’s diversification efforts included the launch of new clutch variants for the North American market and the commencement of tractor clutch supplies in the fourth quarter of FY25. Exports from India reached the highest levels to date, with further growth anticipated.

These additions are aligned with our strategy to deepen our presence in the MHCV component space. We further plan to introduce few more products in the coming quarter, which shall further enhance our product offerings and increase our value proposition to our customers.” said Harish Sheth, Chairman and Managing Director.

For the financial year ended March 31, 2025, Setco Automotive’s revenue from operations was INR 7.19 billion, up 12.2 percent from INR 6.41 billion in the previous year. EBITDA for the year stood at INR 1.09 billion, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 50.7 percent. The EBITDA margin for the year improved to 15.2 percent.

Setco Automotive, established in 1982, manufactures clutches for medium and heavy commercial vehicles and supplies truck components. The company’s offerings include brake linings, clutches, flywheels, lubricants, release bearing assemblies, and universal joints.

The company operates five manufacturing units and conducts research and development in India and the UK. Setco’s subsidiary, Lava Cast, specializes in advanced machined castings. The company serves markets in the US, UK, SAARC, and the Middle East.
