The Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under the Ministry of Power, to support the adoption of energy-efficient technologies in facilities across the forging sector. The initiative falls under the ADEETIE (Assistance for Deployment of Energy Efficient Technologies in Industrial Establishments) scheme.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Union Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar. According to AIFI, the collaboration aims to promote sustainable manufacturing practices in the forging industry.
AIFI represents more than 200 forging units across India, including small, medium, and large-scale enterprises. The association engages in policy advocacy, development of technical standards, and sectoral growth initiatives within the forging ecosystem.
