FORVIA India, an automotive technology group, has inaugurated a new production line for display infotainment systems at its Dhankot plant near Gurugram, Haryana. The initiative expands the company’s local manufacturing capabilities and results from the collaboration between Faurecia and HELLA, both part of the FORVIA Group.

Senior leaders from Maruti Suzuki India Limited were present at the inauguration. According to FORVIA, the new line reflects joint efforts by international and cross-functional teams.

The development coincides with the conclusion of FORVIA’s Asia Innovation Days—events held in India, South Korea, and Japan to strengthen relationships with regional original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), customize offerings for local markets, and expand the company’s footprint in key Asian countries.

FORVIA has identified India as a strategic hub for engineering, digital transformation, and potential exports. The company aims to support the growing domestic automotive sector, which is projected to nearly double production to approximately 7.5 million units by 2030.

In South Korea, FORVIA is addressing the automotive industry’s transition to electric vehicles and an increased focus on software-defined components. The company is emphasizing advanced electronics and smart cockpit systems to support OEMs, over half of whose production is exported.

In Japan, where around 9 million vehicles are produced annually, FORVIA sees opportunities in sustainability and digital cockpit solutions. It aims to support automakers reevaluating traditional supplier partnerships.

FORVIA described its Asia Innovation Days as a platform for co-creation and alignment with regional trends such as electrification, digitalisation, and global platform integration.

FORVIA is a global automotive technology group formed through the merger of Faurecia and HELLA. Its operations span multiple sectors, including mobility, safety, and interior vehicle systems, with a focus on digital transformation and sustainability.
