Rosti has announced an expansion of its under-construction injection moulding facility in Chennai, India, increasing the planned manufacturing space by 7,500 square metres. The expansion was approved before the original facility’s completion and is part of the company’s broader capacity growth strategy in Asia.
Once operational, the Chennai facility will house 45 injection moulding machines with clamping forces ranging from 35 to 500 tons. The plant will provide precision moulding, contract manufacturing, and supply chain management services. Initial staffing is expected to be around 100 employees, with the workforce projected to more than double within two years as operations scale.
The facility is expected to become operational by the end of 2025. According to the company, the decision to expand was influenced by collaboration with a long-term customer and rising regional demand.
Rosti is a contract manufacturer specialising in plastic injection moulding and related services, operating production facilities across Europe and Asia.
