UNIROX Bikes has launched a new bicycle manufacturing facility in Kharagpur, West Bengal, with an initial production capacity of 400,000 units annually. The facility is expected to scale up to a full capacity of 1 million units per year in the future.

The plant features automation systems including a PLC-controlled powder coating line, a conveyorised liquid painting system, and imported automated assembly lines. According to the company, the facility has been developed in line with international quality and compliance standards and is intended to serve demand in export markets, including the United States and European countries.

In addition to the Kharagpur plant, UNIROX operates a manufacturing unit in the Falta Special Economic Zone (SEZ), also in West Bengal. This facility exports bicycles to more than a dozen countries, including several in Europe, as well as Bangladesh and Bhutan. It plays a key role in the company’s export-oriented operations, focusing on premium bicycles built to meet international standards.

UNIROX Bikes manufactures both traditional bicycles and electric mobility solutions such as electric cargo bikes and light electric vehicles (LEVs). The company emphasizes sustainable transportation and is expanding its production capacity to support growth in the e-bike segment alongside conventional cycles.

Headquartered in Kolkata, UNIROX Bikes draws on over 30 years of industry experience through its founder. Its operations are centered around innovation, sustainability, job creation, and adherence to global manufacturing standards.
