Vignesh Polymers has commenced construction of its new Air Conditioning Division with the ground-breaking of its 10th factory unit at SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Tamil Nadu. The facility is planned as a fully integrated air-conditioning manufacturing unit designed to handle end-to-end production processes.

The plant will include sheet metal fabrication, heat exchanger and copper tubing lines, injection moulding, EPS packing operations, and in-house production of propeller and crossflow fans. The ground-breaking event was attended by senior executives from Blue Star, including Mohit Sud, Group President, CPAG Division, and other representatives from procurement, quality assurance, and sales functions. Officials from Union Bank of India, Chennai, were also present.

The ceremony included a lamp lighting ritual and tree planting activity, highlighting the company’s approach to linking industrial activity with sustainability measures.

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Chennai, Vignesh Polymers manufactures components for the white goods, automobile, consumer electronics, and electric vehicle sectors. The company operates seven facilities across Tamil Nadu and Goa, employs over 600 professionals, and produces more than 460 components. Its expertise covers injection moulding, blow moulding, EPS moulding, sheet metal fabrication, welding, painting, BLDC motors, crossflow fans, and room air conditioner components. The company has also diversified into food and beverage packaging under the Sowkea brand and entered the electric vehicle market through Vignesh Electric.
