Yeemak, a South Korean electronics company, and its group company Jeanuvs plan to invest approximately INR 35 billion to establish a printed‑circuit‑board (PCB) manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This project is part of the Tamil Nadu government’s TN Rising initiative and is expected to create over 7,000 direct jobs in Thoothukudi and nearby districts.

The plant will manufacture PCBs for domestic and export markets, with indications that the facility may venture into advanced defence components such as integrated artillery ammunition and missile systems in the future.

This investment is part of 41 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed at the TN Rising conclave. Other notable MoUs include INR 49.95 billion by Kaynes Circuits India for advanced PCB and electronics component manufacturing (about 4,700 expected jobs), INR 50 billion by Sakthi Group for explosives manufacturing, INR 49.53 billion by RGE Singapore to set up a man‑made fibres unit, INR 15 billion by Radha Engineering Works for rail coach component manufacturing, and INR 10 billion by Mobius Energy for solar cell and module production.

Traditionally not known for electronics manufacturing, Thoothukudi is emerging as a new industrial hub across automotive, electronics, defence, and renewable energy sectors. Its port infrastructure offers strategic advantages for export‑oriented production.

Yeemak, based in South Korea, specializes in PCB manufacturing for consumer electronics, industrial, and defence clients. Through this investment, it aims to deepen its footprint in India and align with Tamil Nadu’s ambitions to become a leading electronics manufacturing destination.
