American Air Filter (AAF) India, a manufacturer of industrial and commercial air filtration systems and part of the Daikin Group, has opened a new air filtration manufacturing facility in Noida as part of an expansion of its production operations in the country. The facility marks a significant addition to the company’s manufacturing footprint as it works to support demand from customers across India.
The Noida plant will manufacture advanced air filtration systems used across hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, electronics production units, data centres and commercial infrastructure. The facility aligns with AAF’s global manufacturing standards and incorporates production processes designed to improve product consistency, expand the company’s portfolio and support future technology upgrades.
“This new facility represents a commitment to innovation, sustainability and partnership,” said Shailesh Nigam, Chief Operating Officer of AAF India. “We are strengthening our local manufacturing footprint while continuing to deliver clean air solutions.”
The new plant is three times larger than the company’s previous unit and increases production capacity by five times. The expanded footprint enables higher output volumes, shorter delivery timelines and improved operational efficiency for customers in northern and eastern India. The development also strengthens original equipment manufacturer supply to Daikin Airconditioning India Private Limited through tighter integration and just-in-time delivery operations.
The relocation and expansion were undertaken to manage increased production volumes and to serve rising domestic and global demand for filtration products. The company aims to address growing requirements from sectors such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), healthcare, pharmaceuticals, electronics and data centres. These industries require consistent quality, reliable supply and enhanced process integration, which the new facility has been designed to support.
Executives from the Filter Division of Daikin Industries Limited in Japan attended the inauguration, including Shinya Nishi, Global Head of the Filtration Business; Yoshiaki Kitagishi, Manager for Global Production Strategy and Execution; Jiro Yamamoto, Head of Business Development; and Kentaro Rikukawa from the financial planning and analysis function. The event was also attended by U. D. Trivedi, Chief Operating Officer of Citizen Industries Private Limited, which operates as part of Daikin Airconditioning India Private Limited.
AAF India produces a range of air filtration technologies for industrial and commercial applications. AAF International, the parent company, has operated for more than 100 years and designs systems that protect people, equipment and processes from airborne contaminants as part of the Daikin Group.
