Piller Global (India) Private Limited, a subsidiary of Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Shirwal, Maharashtra, expanding its production capability for mechanical vapour recompression equipment and other process-industry systems. The plant spans 9,106.20 square metres, with the first phase covering 2,855 square metres.
The facility is designed to strengthen domestic manufacturing capability, improve service responsiveness and reduce turnaround times for customer orders. The development follows the foundation ceremony held on 9 April 2024 and the completion of construction activities earlier in 2025. The site is planned to support “Built in India” production for both domestic and export markets.
“This new facility represents not just an expansion of infrastructure, but a significant step forward in Piller’s commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability,” said Vimal Kalaria, Managing Director of Piller Global (India) Private Limited. He noted that the added capacity is intended to support industries pursuing higher levels of energy efficiency and decarbonisation.
“This investment is an expression of our confidence in the Indian market, whose quality standards are increasingly aligned with international standards,” said Christoph Böhnisch, Chief Executive Officer of Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH. He stated that the site forms part of a broader expansion strategy to strengthen operations in developing industrial centres.
The inauguration on 20 November 2025 was attended by company executives and industry partners. The new facility is planned to support the production and servicing of mechanical vapour recompression systems used in food and beverage processing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and pulp and paper applications.
Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH, headquartered in Moringen, Germany, manufactures blowers and compressors for evaporation, crystallisation and distillation processes. The company operates in nine countries and employs about 540 people worldwide.
