Cyient Limited has renewed and expanded its strategic partnership with CNH Industrial’s construction equipment segment to advance autonomous and perception systems across multiple vehicle platforms. The companies said the collaboration will focus on scaling systems that improve safety, efficiency and operational productivity across different machine categories.

According to a press release issued by Cyient, the partners have collaborated for the past two and a half years on innovation programmes, most notably the Advanced Perception System for wheel loaders that was unveiled at the Bauma exhibition.

“Our collaboration with Cyient demonstrates the power of strategic technology partnerships in accelerating our journey towards autonomy. Cyient has played a critical role in helping us bring our Advanced Perception System to life and will remain an essential partner as we continue to expand autonomy across our construction equipment portfolio,” said Humayun Chishti, President, Construction at CNH.

The renewed agreement emphasises scaling the perception and automation capabilities developed for wheel loaders to other vehicle segments within CNH’s construction range. Cyient said the work will combine CNH’s domain expertise and research and development investments with Cyient’s systems engineering and software capabilities to deliver next-generation autonomous solutions.

“We are proud to be a trusted partner to CNH in their autonomy journey,” said Sukamal Banerjee, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Cyient. “Our work together on the Advanced Perception System is just the beginning. We’re excited to co-create solutions that define the future of autonomous construction equipment.”

The press material did not disclose contract values, timelines for deployment, or specific production targets. It noted that the Advanced Perception System was a key deliverable from their joint work to date and framed the renewed focus as part of CNH’s broader autonomy and digital transformation efforts.

Cyient was established in 1991 and, by its account, provides intelligent engineering solutions across products, plants and networks for more than 300 global customers, including 30 percent of the top 100 global innovators. CNH Industrial is described as a global equipment, technology and services group with more than 35,000 employees across its brands.
