Neolite ZKW Lightings Limited organised a commemorative ceremony to mark the commissioning of its new automotive lighting manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, expanding its production footprint in India. The plant commenced operations in December 2025 and is intended to support demand from original equipment manufacturers across passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-road vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers.
The new facility is located near the Mumbai–Pune–Nashik–Aurangabad automotive cluster, a region with a high concentration of vehicle and component manufacturers. Neolite ZKW said the location would enable improved supply chain flexibility, inventory management, and closer coordination with customers.
The company supplies automotive lighting products and components to customers including JSW MG Motor India Private Limited, Stellantis Automobiles India Private Limited, VE Commercial Vehicles Limited, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Private Limited, Isuzu Motors India Private Limited, Tata Motors Limited, and Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited. Neolite ZKW said proximity to these customers is expected to support faster response times and more customised production planning.
The Pune site also houses an independent design centre equipped with digital design tools, simulation software, three-dimensional modelling, optical design capabilities, prototyping, and validation infrastructure. The company said the design centre is intended to strengthen in-house product development, reduce time-to-market, and ensure compliance with global performance and regulatory standards.
“India continues to emerge as a strategic market for the global automotive industry,” said Won Yong Hwang, Chief Executive Officer of ZKW Group GmbH. “Neolite ZKW’s expansion in Pune represents a positive step toward advancing next-generation automotive lighting solutions, and we look forward to continued collaboration in technology and innovation.”
“Our new Pune plant reflects our commitment to invest in capacity, technology, and talent to support the next phase of growth for our customers and for Neolite ZKW,” said Rajesh Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of Neolite ZKW Lightings Limited. “With this facility, we are better positioned to respond timely to customer requirements, drive innovation in automotive lighting, and create employment opportunities in the region.” He added that the company’s next focus is commissioning its Kancheepuram facility in Tamil Nadu.
“The Pune facility is designed to focus on manufacturing automotive lighting products and components, including moulding, surface treatment, and assembly,” said Rajesh Soni, Chief Executive Officer of Neolite ZKW. “In line with the shift toward electrification and sustainability, we also offer certain electric vehicle-focused lighting products, while our portfolio remains powertrain agnostic and serves both electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles.”
Neolite ZKW Lightings Limited manufactures automotive lighting systems and components for original equipment manufacturers in India and overseas, serving multiple vehicle segments.
