Teknion, a global manufacturer of office furniture and workplace solutions, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka, expanding its production footprint in India as part of its broader growth strategy. The facility is operational and is intended to support rising demand across regional and international markets while improving responsiveness to customers.
The Bengaluru unit covers more than 40,000 square feet and is equipped to deliver core product lines at scale. The company stated that local manufacturing is expected to help shorten lead times and improve supply flexibility for customers in India and neighbouring markets.
The facility forms part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its global manufacturing network and align capacity with demand growth. The company said the site has been designed to support both domestic distribution and export-oriented production.
“This facility reflects our long-term commitment to the Indian market,” said Nikhil Wadehra, Director of Sales – India. “With local manufacturing in place, we will be able to shorten lead times, increase flexibility, and strengthen relationships with our clients and partners in the region.”
The company said the facility has been designed for operational efficiency and adaptability, allowing it to respond to changes in customer requirements while maintaining consistent manufacturing standards. Teknion added that the Bengaluru plant is expected to play a role in supporting the company’s supply chain across multiple markets by providing additional capacity and faster delivery timelines.
“India plays a strategic role in our broader international roadmap,” said Joe Regan, Chief Operating Officer. “This new facility allows us to scale intelligently, serve our customers more effectively, and further reinforce Teknion’s position as a trusted partner across global markets.”
The manufacturing facility was opened on 4 December 2025. Teknion said the investment in Bengaluru also reflects its approach to responsible manufacturing, with the site operating in line with the company’s standards for environmental management and workplace safety from the start of operations.
Teknion operates a network of manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe, and Asia, producing furniture and interior systems for commercial workplaces, education, healthcare, and public spaces.
