Embraer S.A. concluded an executive-level visit to India on 09 February 2026 as part of its ongoing efforts to expand and strengthen its supply chain presence in the country. The visit focused on evaluating industrial capabilities, engaging with potential suppliers, and exploring business opportunities across civil aviation, defence, and services, underscoring the company’s intent to increase industrial cooperation with India.

The visit forms part of a broader strategy to deepen long-term collaboration between Brazilian and Indian aerospace industries. The company said the engagement is aimed at integrating Indian suppliers into its global procurement network while supporting domestic industrial development.

“We reaffirm our strong commitment to collaborating with India’s aerospace industry. Our focus is on advancing joint initiatives in defense and civil aviation, contributing to technological innovation, operational excellence, and long-term strategic partnerships,” said Roberto Chaves, Executive Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain at Embraer. “India is a key partner in shaping the future of aerospace, and we are dedicated to building sustainable cooperation that supports both the domestic industrial base and global initiatives.”

During the visit, Embraer assessed a range of supplier capabilities in India, including aerostructures assembly, machining, metal forming, composites, wiring systems, and hardware and software development. The company said these evaluations are intended to support the implementation of an extensive local supply chain programme that can serve both Indian requirements and Embraer’s global production activities.

Companies visited included Motherson Advance Systems, Mahindra Aerospace, LMW Advanced Technology Center among others.

The company has taken steps to strengthen its organisational presence in the country to support these objectives. Embraer recently inaugurated its Indian office in New Delhi as part of its Asia Pacific operations. A dedicated local procurement team has also been established to coordinate supplier development, sourcing activities, and engagement with Indian industry participants.

Embraer views India as a strategic partner in the Asia Pacific region across its business portfolios. The company said it is pursuing opportunities in commercial aviation, executive aviation, and defence and security, supported by the development of local industrial capabilities and closer cooperation with domestic stakeholders.

India represents an important operational market for Embraer. The company currently has more than 44 aircraft operating in the country, serving customers across multiple segments. This fleet includes five Embraer VIP jets operated by the Indian government and three EMB 145 AEW “Netra” aircraft operated by the Indian Air Force.

Embraer is a global aerospace company headquartered in Brazil, manufacturing aircraft for commercial and executive aviation, defence and security, and agricultural applications. The company also provides services and after-sales support through a worldwide network of owned facilities and authorised agents, and has delivered more than 9,000 aircraft since its founding in 1969.
