Infineum, a specialty additives company, has inaugurated a new blending facility in Patalganga, Maharashtra, expanding its manufacturing presence in India and strengthening supply capabilities for the lubricants and specialty chemicals sector. The facility is operated exclusively for Infineum by LSR Specialty Oils, a company engaged in blending and contract manufacturing for lubricant and specialty chemical products.
The facility is intended to improve supply reliability and responsiveness for customers in India by expanding the company’s local production footprint. The site has been established within the Patalganga industrial area, a chemical and industrial manufacturing cluster in Maharashtra.
The location places the facility near manufacturing operations of several oil marketing companies, providing access to logistics infrastructure and industry supply networks. Infineum said the proximity to these facilities is expected to strengthen supply-chain connectivity and improve the delivery of additive products to customers across the country.
The blending site has also been designed with provisions for future expansion. The company said the facility could support additional blending capabilities, technology development activities, and increased manufacturing localisation as demand grows in the Indian market.
Harshad Jambaulikar, General Manager for Infineum India, said the facility is intended to strengthen the company’s domestic operations. “By strengthening our local capabilities in one of Maharashtra’s chemical manufacturing hubs, we are enhancing supply reliability, shortening lead times, and improving the agility with which we serve our customers,” he said. He added that the facility has been designed to support most of Infineum’s India business while retaining the flexibility to expand capacity as market requirements evolve.
Aldo Govi, Chief Executive Officer of Infineum, said the commissioning of the facility reflects the company’s long-term focus on the Indian market. “The commissioning of this new blending facility reflects our confidence in the country’s long-term potential and strengthens our commitment to being an active contributor to India’s mobility and energy ecosystem,” he said. “This investment will allow us to expand capacity and reliably deliver high-performance technologies.”
Infineum develops and supplies specialty additives used in fuels and lubricants for transportation and industrial applications. The company provides products that support engine performance, emissions control, and equipment efficiency across multiple mobility and energy sectors.
