NETZSCH Pumps & Systems India, the subsidiary of Germany-headquartered NETZSCH Group and a manufacturer of pumping and system solutions for complex fluid management applications, inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Goa. The inauguration coincides with the company completing 20 years of operations in India.

The facility is spread across approximately 45,000 square metres and features a 12,500 square metre production floor equipped with advanced manufacturing infrastructure, modern assembly lines and enhanced testing capabilities. The new unit has been designed to support higher production volumes and improve operational efficiency.

The company stated that the facility has been designed to meet Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Gold Standard certification requirements and incorporates sustainability measures aimed at reducing its carbon footprint. The 400 kW rooftop solar installation forms part of its energy-efficiency initiatives.

“The expansion of our production capacities in India is a central component of our global strategy”, explains CEO Andreas Denker. “The location in Goa strengthens our global production network and enables us to meet market requirements even more quickly and specifically at a regional level. All while maintaining consistently high quality and technology standards.”

The new location will provide the conditions for manufacturing not only the proven progressing cavity pump, but also other technologies such as rotary lobe pumps, multi screw pumps and peristaltic pumps on site. The systematic expansion of local production will further strengthen the proximity to customers in South Asia. The modern production and quality processes as well as the expanded engineering and development resources create the conditions for efficiently, flexibly, and consistently meeting the increasing demands of the South Asian market.

“The new production facility is a major step forward for NETZSCH Pumps & Systems and a strong commitment to India as a manufacturing site“, explains Vivek Norman, Managing Director NETZSCH Pumps & Systems India. “With expanded capacity, state-of-the-art infrastructure and improved engineering resources, we are laying the foundation to support our customers in South Asia even more efficiently and closer to the market in the future.“

The inauguration was attended by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Minister for Industries, Trade and Commerce Mauvin Godinho, along with representatives of the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC). Members of the NETZSCH Group Executive Board and shareholders, including Moritz Netzsch, Paul Netzsch and Jens Niessner, were present, along with Andreas Denker, Chief Executive Officer, and the global pump management team. Rajesh Nath, Managing Director of VDMA India, addressed the event and spoke about growth opportunities in India’s manufacturing sector.

NETZSCH established its presence in India in 2005 in Chennai and expanded operations to Goa in 2010. The company stated that the new facility strengthens collaboration between its German headquarters and Indian operations, supporting technology exchange and engineering development as it expands its manufacturing footprint in India.
