Sekisui Chemical, a manufacturer of plastics, housing, and medical products, has announced plans to establish a new injection molding plant in Pune, Maharashtra, through its joint venture, Sekisui DLJM Molding Private Limited. The facility will be the company’s sixth manufacturing site in India. The investment is approximately USD 3 million, with operations scheduled to begin in January 2026.

The plant will be located in the Chakan district of Pune, covering a site area of 10,044 square metres and a plant floor area of 6,288 square metres. It will manufacture injection molded components for automobiles and motorcycles. The new facility is expected to increase the company’s production capacity in India by approximately 15 percent.

Sekisui DLJM Molding, a joint venture between Sekisui Chemical (51%) and Dipty Lal Judge Mal Private Limited (49 percent), was established in August 2011 to produce automotive injection molded parts. The company aims to achieve net sales of USD 130 million by fiscal year 2030. As of April 2024, it employed 601 people across four sites and five plants and reported sales of JPY 10.7 billion for fiscal 2024.

Dipty Lal Judge Mal Private Limited, founded in 1984, manufactures injection molded products for consumer electronics and other sectors. It reported fiscal 2024 sales of JPY 13.6 billion and employed 428 people as of April 2025.

The injection molding business within the Sekisui Chemical Group is managed by Sekisui Techno Molding Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary. Established in 1962, the subsidiary reported sales of JPY 21.8 billion in fiscal 2024, including revenue from overseas group companies.
