Interarch Building Solutions Limited has expanded its manufacturing capacity with two new developments: the commissioning of Phase 2 of its pre-engineered building (PEB) facility in Andhra Pradesh and the commissioning of a new box column line at its Kichha plant in Uttarakhand. Together, the projects involve an investment of about INR 530 million and increase the company’s overall annual installed capacity to more than 200,000 metric tonnes.

The Andhra Pradesh expansion, located at Athivaram village in Nellore district, has added 25,000 metric tonnes per annum of capacity through an investment of about INR 320 million. The facility, which now functions as a fully integrated PEB plant, is positioned to serve sectors including renewables, automotive, electronics, electric vehicle infrastructure, semiconductors, warehousing, and data centres.

At the Kichha plant in Uttarakhand, Interarch has commissioned a new automated box column line, supported by an investment of about INR 210 million. The addition increases production capacity by 15,000 metric tonnes per annum and enables manufacturing of large-format box sections up to 1,500 x 1,500 mm from 50 mm thick plates. These sections are intended for use in high-rise and multi-storey steel buildings, data centres, and other large-scale structures.

“These expansions are expected to create over 200 direct and indirect jobs,” said Arvind Nanda, Managing Director, Interarch Building Solutions Limited. Gautam Suri, Whole Time Director, added: “The commissioning of the new Box Column Line at our Kichha plant is a strategic step towards expanding our capabilities and meeting the demands of India’s growing need for multi-storey and heavy steel buildings.”
