EKKI Group and HOMA Pumpenfabrik GmbH have expanded their joint-venture manufacturing facility, EKKI HOMA, in Coimbatore, India. The expansion is intended to increase production of sewage pumping solutions and enhance manufacturing capabilities for domestic and regional markets.
The upgraded unit integrates pump and motor manufacturing infrastructure, automated testing and balancing systems, and digital assembly capabilities. The company stated that the facility has been designed with support from the TVS Group to enable production of sewage pumps.
The expanded facility was inaugurated by N. K. Ranganath, Chief Advisor of EKKI HOMA, along with Hans Hoffmann, Marcel Hoffmann, Guido Kranski, Arumugam P, and Kanishka Arumugam, Directors of EKKI HOMA.

“The expanded plant will manufacture innovative solutions, including the recently launched LINUS Clog-Defence sewage pump range. These products are engineered to handle demanding wastewater applications while supporting India’s ‘Make in India for India and the World’ vision through localised manufacturing and advanced engineering,” said Arumugam P, Director of EKKI HOMA.
The expansion strengthens EKKI HOMA’s manufacturing base in Coimbatore and is expected to improve its ability to serve customers across India and Asia. The company noted that the region’s engineering ecosystem, including expertise in pumps, motors, foundries, machining, and engineering talent, continues to support its operations.
The joint venture also utilises manufacturing capabilities from KOOT and access to an engineering university within the EKKI Group, contributing precision-machined components and engineering support for pump and motor systems.
