SML Isuzu has announced changes in its senior management, with Yasushi Nishikawa set to assume the role of Managing Director and CEO, effective April 17, 2025. The appointment follows the resignation of Junya Yamanishi, who will step down on April 16, 2025, due to a change in his position at Sumitomo Corporation, Japan, the company’s promoter. The transition remains subject to regulatory approvals.

Nishikawa has been with Sumitomo Corporation for over 38 years, holding leadership roles in Japan, Mexico, and other regions. His previous positions include executive roles at Mazda Motor Manufacturing de Mexico and Sumitomo Corporation de Mexico.

Additionally, the Board has reappointed Anuj Kumar Sethi as Associate Vice President – Corporate Planning, IT, and Special Application Cell for a one-year term beginning April 1, 2025. Sethi, who joined SML Isuzu in 1988, will continue to oversee corporate planning, digital initiatives, and specialized vehicle applications.

The company stated that the leadership changes comply with regulatory requirements and have been disclosed under SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
