Jay Bharat Maruti Limited approved an investment for the second phase of its Plant J7 manufacturing facility at IMT Kharkhoda in Sonipat district, Haryana, as part of its ongoing capital expenditure programme. The decision was approved by the company’s board of directors at its meeting held on 06 February 2026 and forms part of previously announced expansion plans to support customer requirements.
The company said it will invest approximately INR 1.7 billion in Phase II of Plant J7, located at Plot No. 831 in the Kharkhoda industrial area. According to a press release issued by Jay Bharat Maruti Limited, the investment will be funded from an earlier approved capital expenditure plan and does not represent an incremental capex beyond what had already been disclosed to the stock exchanges.
Jay Bharat Maruti had earlier approved a total capital expenditure of INR 3.5 billion for setting up two new manufacturing plants in the states of Haryana and Gujarat to cater to demand from its key customer, Maruti Suzuki, in the respective regions. The company had disclosed this plan to the stock exchanges in May 2023. Of the total approved amount, INR 400 million remained unutilised and has now been earmarked for the Phase II expansion of the Kharkhoda facility.
The company informed the exchanges that the Phase II investment at Plant J7 will utilise the remaining portion of the previously sanctioned capital expenditure. The board approval on 06 February 2026 formalises the deployment of these funds toward the Haryana facility, continuing the phased development of the plant.
Jay Bharat Maruti did not disclose additional details regarding the production capacity, timelines for completion, or the specific manufacturing lines to be added under Phase II at the Kharkhoda site. The press release also did not provide information on employment generation or the scale of operations expected after the expansion is completed.
