L&T Technology Services (LTTS), a technology company that provides engineering research and development services, has entered into a strategic agreement with thyssenkrupp Steering to set up a software development center in Pune, India. The facility, managed by LTTS, will serve as a global hub for developing software that supports advanced steering technologies.
The Pune center will focus on embedded systems, functional safety, and cybersecurity to support increasing demand for intelligent and connected vehicle platforms. It will contribute to thyssenkrupp Steering’s global engineering operations. The company supplies steering systems for over 30 million vehicles annually.
“This center will play a key role in delivering next-generation steering solutions to our global customers,” said Richard Hirschmann, Senior Vice President of R&D at thyssenkrupp Steering.
Patrick Vith, CEO of thyssenkrupp Steering, noted that the company aims to shape the future of mobility through innovation and global collaboration.
Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of LTTS, said the collaboration reflects LTTS’ strengths in electrification, hybrid systems, and software-defined vehicle architectures, supported by over 250 programs, 350 patents, and 45 labs.
Rajkumar Ravindranathan, Chief Business Officer – EMEA & RoW at LTTS, added that the partnership would help deliver faster time-to-market and cost-effective innovation for thyssenkrupp Steering.
