Assa Abloy Group has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility for its Entrance Systems division in Greater Noida, India, marking a significant expansion of its production footprint in the country.

The new plant will produce industrial and high-performance doors, along with docking equipment, to serve the domestic and regional markets. The facility is part of the group’s plan to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities and reduce lead times for customers in India.

Massimo Grassi, Executive Vice President and Head of Entrance Systems at Assa Abloy Group, said the new site would enable the company to “meet local demand more efficiently and stay closer to our customers,” describing the investment as “a strong step forward in our growth journey in India.” The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Thomas Schneider, Head of Emerging Markets, and Sanjay Batra, Head of Business Segment Industrial, Assa Abloy Entrance Systems.

The Greater Noida factory is designed to support the “Make in India” initiative by expanding local production of industrial door solutions and docking systems. It will serve key sectors including logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing, which are witnessing increased demand for automated entrance and loading technologies.
