Yamato Holdings Co. Ltd. has opened its NH8 (Sidhrawali) Logistics Center in Haryana, marking the company’s largest logistics facility outside Japan. The facility began operations on 8 January 2026 and is intended to support rising logistics requirements from manufacturers expanding production in India.

Yamato Logistics India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan’s Yamato Holdings, operates the new centre at Sidhrawali in Manesar, Gurugram district. The location lies along the NH8 corridor connecting the Delhi National Capital Region with major manufacturing and commercial hubs across western and southern India, positioning the facility to serve both domestic and international supply chains.

The NH8 Logistics Center has a total floor area of approximately 24,900 square metres. Parts of the warehouse are equipped with air conditioning, enabling the storage of temperature-sensitive goods such as circuit boards and precision equipment. The company said the site is close to multiple industrial parks and has road connectivity to inland container depots and Indira Gandhi International Airport, allowing it to function as a gateway warehouse and cross-docking hub.

The company stated that the facility will provide contract logistics services based on Japanese operational standards. These services are aimed at manufacturing customers seeking to scale operations in India and establish supply chains connecting India with overseas markets, including the Middle East and Africa. The centre is designed to offer integrated logistics solutions covering warehousing, transportation coordination, and distribution processing.

The facility is structured to support just-in-time logistics models commonly used by manufacturers. Operations include milk-run collection of parts from suppliers, sorting by production line at the logistics centre, and scheduled delivery to manufacturing plants. The centre can also undertake distribution processing activities such as kitting and simple assembly to reduce inventory holding and handling requirements at customer facilities.

In addition, the company said the centre will provide packing services adapted to local operating conditions. These include the use of packaging materials designed to protect goods from high temperatures, humidity, and vibration during long-distance transport, as well as handling of heavy machinery and equipment.

The company said it plans to introduce measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the site, including the installation of solar panels and the adoption of electric vehicles for logistics operations over time.

Yamato Logistics India said the opening comes at a time when logistics demand in India is increasing due to restructuring of global supply chains and expansion of domestic manufacturing. The company noted that production activity is growing in sectors such as automobiles, electrical equipment, and semiconductors, placing pressure on existing logistics infrastructure, including warehousing capacity and specialised logistics operations.

Yamato Logistics India Pvt. Ltd., established in 2008, operates logistics centres across India and provides services including contract logistics, forwarding, packaging, equipment transportation, and in-house logistics services, primarily for manufacturing customers.
