HTL Limited, a subsidiary of HFCL, has received a contract valued at approximately INR 1.02 billion from the Indian Army for the supply of tactical optical fibre cable and related accessories. The order is scheduled to be executed by August 2026.
The products are indigenously manufactured and include optical fibre cables capable of withstanding the weight of heavy armoured vehicles. The system incorporates military-grade connectors designed for extreme environments and allows for rapid deployment of communication links in battlefield conditions. The lightweight cables can be carried by infantry personnel in a backpack.
The contract was received in the normal course of business and falls under general contract conditions. It does not qualify as a related-party transaction, and HFCL confirmed that the promoter group has no interest in the awarding entity.
HFCL Limited, headquartered in Gurugram, is engaged in the manufacturing of optical fibre cables, telecommunications equipment, and related technologies. Its subsidiary HTL Limited operates in similar segments, supplying fibre optic and related products for telecom and defence applications.
