Jindal Saw Limited said that the American Petroleum Institute (API) has issued a suspension letter restricting the company from affixing the API monogram on its API seamless pipes following certain non-conformances observed during an audit. The development was disclosed on 18 February 2026.
The company said that during the API audit certain non-conformances were observed and a suspension letter was issued. The suspension restricts the company from using the API monogram on its API seamless pipes.
According to the company’s disclosure, the licence was valid until 06 April 2026. The suspension relates specifically to the affixing of the API monogram and does not constitute a broader withdrawal of operations.
The company stated that the matter is being addressed suitably with API and that the seamless pipe manufacturing capacity of the company is fungible. Pending revocation of the suspension, the company has allocated the affected capacity to other products. As a result, the company said the impact of the suspension may not be material.
Jindal Saw Limited is engaged in the manufacturing of pipes and related products, including seamless pipes.
